Gaulard.com is a growing online source for blog posts, articles, and interviews that relate to blogging, writing in general, photography, videography, and making a living from what you love to do most. I have a true passion for what I write about and would love to include my readers in the success of what I do every day.
I’m Looking for You
I’m constantly on the lookout for new writers to join my purpose, so if you’re interested in contributing or guest posting to a dynamic and cutting edge publication, please let me know. What I primarily look for in authors is passion, an eye for detail, expert knowledge in a field, and an undying love for writing.
In order for me to consider you for contribution, you should have a strong background in your specific field, whether it be writing about writing, capturing astoundingly beautiful scenes, post-processing those scenes, earning a living while blogging, or teaching others how to do the above. But even beyond having the background I seek, you should have an uncanny ability to explain your topic to beginners and experts alike. My goal is to have a website visitor smile when they finish reading your article and then bookmark that article for later. That’s how good I’d like your writing to be.
My Guest Post Requirements
Does this sound interesting to you? If it does, please send me an email and with it, include a few things:
– Send me some sources of what you’ve done on the web. Please be specific. I suggest a minimum of three URLs that will lead me to previous work where you can show off what you’re all about.
– What are your ideas? I’d love to talk about how you might best contribute with regards to your interests. Do you have a method or a structure that you like to follow? Is there something you absolutely love to talk about? Let me know.
– Have you already written something? If you have a rough draft of what you’d like to see on Gaulard.com, send it over in plain text. We can go over it together to decide if it’s ready to share with the world.
As a side note, I’m quite selective with the posts I receive. At a bare minimum, each article’s length should be anywhere from 2500 – 3000 words. It should also be written at the 8th grade reading level and not exceed the 11th grade reading level. While I understand this is a stringent requirement, it virtually eliminates sub-par content and almost guarantees the quality I’m after for this website.
Benefits of Guest Posting
What are the benefits to you? Each guest author will receive their personal author page on Gaulard.com, as well as a link back to their personal or business blog or website in their bio at the bottom of each post. Of course, I’ll need to review the quality of the website I’ll be linking to, but you get the idea. Also, I’d be happy to include “related post by this author” links at the bottom of your posts as well. I want you to feel just as good about writing for me as I feel about having you. Lastly, I’m more than happy to review and edit what you’ve written, if necessary. I learn and write for a living, so it’s not a problem to share in what I’ve discovered through the years as it relates to compelling content.
Again, thank you for taking the time to consider contributing to Gaulard.com. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you for many years to come!
Background On Guest Blogging
Many guest bloggers feel as though the reward for posting to someone else’s website is in the experience they have in doing so. They receive exposure through the website they are posting to as well as the search engine benefits that stem from the link that’s included in their bio at the end of each article. Although the personal link is important to many, it’s not as critical as one might expect. Consider being asked for repeated, weekly, appearances on a widely popular television show. Eventually, you’d make a reputable name for yourself. Think of Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz. Both gentlemen were relatively unknown until they appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. It was their repeated guest appearances with Oprah that led to the fame they enjoy today.
An effective guest blogger understands that with a sustained and professionally groomed effort, a name will eventually be made for themselves. Think of a post as an advertisement that rivals anything else that’s been published in a specific niche. Successful and popular authors remember to always make their best impression when guest writing because one can never be sure who will read what they’ve written. At Gaulard.com, I don’t ask for ghost writers to write under my name; I ask for real people to write under their own names. An insightful and carefully crafted article that clearly teaches readers something useful is the best advertisement of deep knowledge and understanding someone can get. When a searcher lands on a page that’s been expertly written and that page answers their questions and keeps them coming back for more, the reader will spend the time to discover who wrote it.
