Video & Filmmaking Tutorials
The Video & Filmmaking section covers all aspects of producing a film (digital production picture). Every one of the five production stages will be discussed. The first stage is development. This entails initial idea creation, squaring away of all intellectual rights permissions, writing a screenplay, creating a storyline, financing the picture, and more. The second stage is pre-production. This stage entails location scouting and selection, cast and crew, hiring costs, budgets, the construction of sets, and more. The third stage is production. This is the stage most people think of when a video, short film, or movie is made. This stage includes the actual recording of the footage that will be used in the video itself. If photography will be used, it'll be captured during this stage as well. The fourth stage is post-production. This stage involves all the video editing that will ultimately comprise the video or movie. Included in this stage is also the collection and use of audio elements as well as special visual effects. Finally, the fifth stage is distribution. This stage consists of the marketing and distribution of the production, whether that be in home, theaters, or online.
